Cozen O’Connor has an opportunity for an experienced Research Analyst to join our Library & Research Team in Philadelphia, Denver, or any of our California offices (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco or Santa Monica). Hours are 11:00-5:00 PT/2:00-8:00 ET. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits. Under the guidance of the Director of Research & Business Intelligence, the successful candidate will:

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality legal and business research assistance for attorneys and staff
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the firm’s available online and print research resources 
  • Monitor and provide alerts on clients, industries, and legal topics
  • Work with other Research Analysts to provide quality coverage to all offices
  • Train attorneys and staff on cost-efficient use of electronic resources 
  • Lead orientations of library services to new hires
  • Evaluate new products as necessary and make recommendations for the purchase of resources
  • Identify possible new acquisitions, changes to print needs, and assist with the maintenance of print collections

Qualifications and Requirements

  • JD and/or MLS
  • 2+ years of law firm library experience
  • Proficiency in Westlaw/PLC, Lexis, Bloomberg/BNA, CCH, D&B/Hoover’s, Monitor Suite, PACER, TLO, and other library research resources 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Service-oriented team player, with initiative and problem-solving abilities
