Fall Book Club

We have set a date for the CoALL Fall Book Club: Wednesday, November 9 at noon (update) Wednesday, November 16 at noon. RSVP to Abby Lindquist (amlindquist@hollandhart.com) and indicate your preference for meeting in Denver or Boulder.

“For our CoALL Book Club Fall Pick, we’ve decided to read The Last Days of Night by Graham Moore.

‘A young untested lawyer named Paul Cravath, fresh out of Columbia Law School, takes a case that seems impossible to win. Paul’s client, George Westinghouse, has been sued by Thomas Edison over a billion-dollar question: Who invented the light bulb and holds the right to power the country?’

It involves lawyers (Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, anyone?), intellectual property, and Nikola Tesla gets in on it all too.

Kirkus wasn’t impressed, but Above the Law liked it a lot. Eddie Redmayne has already agreed to star in the movie version. And finally, NPR interviewed the author.”
