Mary Arnold has coordinated with Bryan Cave attorney Ivan London to present on artificial intelligence in legal services. He was on the AALL panel, “Deep Dive: How Artificial Intelligence Will Transform the Delivery of Legal,” this summer. Here is that program’s description:
“Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the way lawyers think, the way they do business, and the way they interact with clients. AI is more than legal technology; it will revolutionize the legal profession. Due to the disaggregation of legal tasks fueled by globalization, technological advances, and the economic downturn, AI is a new engine for “better, faster, cheaper” delivery of certain legal services. For example, several corporate legal departments, law firms, and service providers utilize AI for review and standardization of documents. The list of potential tasks for which AI can be used is growing rapidly. AI’s impact on the corporate end of the legal market is in its incipient stage, but its impact on efficiency, risk mitigation, and the time and cost of human review is significant.”
